Chalkboards are a fun way to use up scraps of wood. I have had excellent luck with chalkboard spray paint. Some people tell me they don’t have any luck, but I suspect that maybe they did not sand the wood first. The chalkboard at the top of the picture is a cupboard door, with an added shelf. There are four medium sized chalkboards. The smallest ones each have a vintage piece of jewelry added and would be really cute as reusable package tags or hung on Christmas trees with personalized messages. Frequently I misplace the chalk I always try to keep at my booth, so people can try the chalkboards out for themselves. Now, each chalkboard has it’s own chalk. It was simple to drill a small hole in the chalk and attach it with baker’s twine. These will be at the Bazaar on Saturday!
