Custom Dresser

A local mom asked me if I could take a dresser she had and convert it to a combination hanging closet and dresser.  I had not done it before, but I didn’t think it looked too difficult, so I tackled it.  I had to remove the three top drawers and the frames that held them in place.  While the original example had only one bottom drawer I was worried about the over all stability of removing any more drawers, so we chose to leave both bottom drawers in place.  I had to make a bottom for the closet section also.  I wanted it sturdy, but did not want to add too much weight.  White and pink paint with polyacrylic protection, and a closet bar completes it!
